We are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to help us build our visual navigation system. You will work on improving the performance of our visual navigation algorithms, calibrating and syncing cameras and IMUs, and setting up data pipelines. If you rarely get lost in the world of 3D vision and know your way around rotation matrices, this role is for you!

Responsibilities

  • Improve visual odometry and SLAM algorithms with real-world data

  • Calibrate and sync multi-camera and camera-IMU combinations

  • Support custom hardware development

  • Support with flight testing

What we offer

  • Market-conform salary with stock options

  • Part-time (~24 h/week) or full-time position

  • Access to a dedicated drone lab and in-house testing facilities

  • A place where you own your projects end-to-end, have the freedom to implement solutions your way, and can take technical risks

Requirements

  • Experience with 3D computer vision for navigation

  • Strong coding skills in Python and C++

  • Hands-on experience with ML and CV libraries

  • Experience with camera/camera-IMU calibration and syncing

Nice to have

  • Knowing when to use AI and when not

  • Knowledge of visual odometry, SLAM, or feature matching.

  • Familiarity with sensor fusion for robotics

  • Active/past involvement with student teams

  • Driver’s license
